Summer Reading Suggestions compiled by the Brookings Literacy Team.

Summer provides many opportunities for parents and children to enjoy reading unforgettable books together. This list of books are suggestions for your child to read over the summer. Look over the liust of books and find the list that corresponds to your child's grade level (the grade s/he is going into next fall).

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to one of the Springfield City Library branches. The librarians will suggest books to read and also invite children to join the summer reading club. Bring your Brookings Summer Reading List, choose a book and then sit back and have fun reading…
