SPECIAL EXHIBIT AT THE LIBRARY
Pine Point Branch Library Hosts Artist and Poet Narelle Thomas
May 1 - June 28, 2013
The Pine Point Branch Library Art Gallery will highlight the work of Springfield's Narelle Thomas from May 1-June 28, 2013. Drawing upon local urban settings, family, nature, and Christian iconography Narelle vibrantly depicts scenes of pain, joy, and transformation. Her visual art is featured as the cover of Bullying: Replies, Rebuttals, Confessions, and Catharsis , edited by Magdalena Gómez and María Luisa Arroyo (2012). Her poetry and artwork appear in the chapbook, When Silence Speaks (2012).
Stop in to see her work; you'll be inspired by this youthful yet insightful new voice. Details for an evening of spoken word by Narelle and others in her network of young spoken word artists from Springfield will be posted soon.
