American Girls Club
Third Wednesday of the Month

Every month, fans of the American Girls books and dolls get together to discuss the books and learn about historical events featured in the books by playing games, making crafts, having a snack, and seeing other library materials related to the era portrayed in the book. Girls aged 7 to 12 are welcome to join the club at the East Springfield Branch Library. Copies of the books will be available to check out. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required!
Meetings are held one Wednesday per month at 3:45 pm. Future dates are Wednesdays, November 19, December 17,
January 21, February 18, and March 18. Call Tricia at 263-6840 to sign up or for more information.
East Springfield Book Group
First Wednesday, 11:15 am
The East Springfield Book Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:15 am. This group chooses a different genre of fiction each month to read and discuss. The genre for the following month will be chosen at the current month's meeting. Join it and widen your book-reading horizons! Knit Lits
Fridays, 10 - 11:30 am
A group of avid knitters and crocheters, "The Knit Lits," meets every Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the East Springfield Branch Library. New members are welcome and the current members are willing to teach knitting and crochet.
Current projects include
afghans for the Red Cross and prayer shawls for cancer patients. The "Knit Lits" also work on their own projects. Some yarn and needles are provided, but donations of such items will always be welcome. Coffee is provided and the members take turns bringing in a treat. For more information, please call 263-6840.

- Word processing: 1 hour slots
- Internet: 30 minute slots
- Checkers and chess sets available for public use
- Staff-assisted photocopying
