East Forest Park BranchThe East Forest Park Branch Library was officially opened in April of 2000. Neighborhood groups had been asking for a branch in the East Forest Park section of Springfield since the early 1950s. A former video store was creatively redecorated into a beautiful library branch located in a mini mall with free parking and is fully handicapped accessible.

BRANCH PROGRAMS:

Teen Advisory Board Forming at East Forest Park

First Monday of the Month, 3:30 - 4:30 pm

teensThe Teen Advisory Board (or TAB) at the East Forest Park Branch Library is seeking teens that love the Library and want to help shape its teen services! TAB is a forum for teens ages 13 through high school who want to suggest materials that the Library should purchase for teens to check out, such as great books, music, and videos.

Upcoming TAB meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the East Forest Park Branch Library.

An interest in serving others in the community and in participating in the meetings regularly is helpful. Potential TAB members fill out a simple registration form at their first meeting. Games may be played, refreshments are served, and everyone has fun! For more information, call Scott at 263-6836, or e-mail sjohnson@springfieldlibrary.org.
